Welcome to the Paria Outpost. We are the most experienced and most endorsed tour guides for photography, scenic, adventure, and hiking tours in the Vermilion Cliffs and Grand Staircase National Monuments including Coyote Buttes, White Pocket, and the Buckskin Gulch. We also provide trailhead shuttles for the Paria River and Buckskin Gulch hikes.
We wish especially to thank the thousands of clients who have taken and endorsed our tours, including the Synnatschkes, Laurent Martres, Phillipe Schuler, Thierry Legarde, Eric Meier, and many others.
We also have a B&B room.
Located in the Paria River Valley between Page, Arizona and Kanab, Utah, we are the closest destination to The Wave and Coyote Buttes, Buckskin Gulch, Cockscomb, Sidestep Canyon and the Wahweap Hoodos and much more. We offer group rates and can accommodate and customize our tours for photographers, families, and hikers. We allow free camping and RV’s at the Paria Outpost for our clients and have one B&B room available.
In an effort to be as user-friendly as possible we do not take money up front for reservations. We put your name on our calendar and count on you to show up. Weather can be unpredictable and other factors can change your itinerary and we do not want your money if we cannot do your tour.
We know our reputation is made entirely from your satisfaction and it is a promise that we will go the extra mile for you. We have never raised our tour prices and are not raising them this year.
We are conveniently located halfway between Page, AZ and Kanab, UT on Highway 89 at the Paria River (mile 21), just across from the BLM Ranger Station and the Whitehouse Campground and Trailhead.

Bed & Breakfast
Paria Outpost is a bed and breakfast as well. Situated close to the White House and Wire Pass Trailheads, the Outpost provides a secluded alternative to stopping in a crowded motel 30 miles from the area you came to see. Prices start at $65 per night, with breakfast included.
At Paria Outpost, you’ll find rustic yet comfortable accommodations. If you want to get away from it all, you will – there are no phones or TV’s here. Our bed and breakfast room offers a queen sized bed and shower. You can kick back in comfort after a day of exploring; put your feet up in a hammock on our shady porch as you take in the view of the Paria valley, Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument and Vermillion Cliffs National Monument.
RV’s are welcome!
- No facilities or hook ups, but you can park in our parking lot.
- Pets are welcome. Dogs must be on leash.
- Travelers with horses are welcome, too.
